The Faithful Companion: The Sovereign Covenant | Oct 2016

RESEARCH NOTE: The Instinctual Covenant. The animal self transitions from being subordinate to becoming a sovereign partner. The depiction of THE WORK ITSELF’s dog with ‘sheep-like’ wool signifies the successful integration of the Anima Mundi (represented by the flock in Fig. 6.0.02) into the immediate, personal history of the vessel. It exemplifies a formal covenant whereby the instinctual spirit, having processed the Impersonal Logos, is ‘crowned’ as an equal. The act of kneeling serves as the interface for this definitive ‘Yes’ to The Real, confirming the complete synchronisation of the animal and divine natures. 

THE VISION: THE WORK ITSELF stands before a canine companion with a dense, woollen coat. The animal is observed kneeling or in a deep bow, signifying a formal proposal of partnership. The final reconciliation of the instinctual self, in which the most loyal facets of nature are fixed as equal participants in the Manifestation of The Life.
