Emerging from the abstract void, a radically unconditioned consciousness is born through the absolute materialisation of spirit into physical form. Binding a non-dual infant within a rectangular frame with intersecting diagonal straps forces an immutable squaring of the circle, anchoring the newborn essence as a deeply rooted reality within the body.

A perfectly formed infant rests within a circular hollow at the centre of a minimalist, pristine white rectangular bed. Two sharp, intersecting diagonal straps harness and protect the figure within the frame, slicing directly over the central opening.

Emerging from the abstract transitions of the void, this phase marks the birth of the Sun-Moon Child—the filius philosophorum (the philosophers’ child) or the infans solaris lunaris—symbolising the permanent collapse of solar daytime clarity and lunar nighttime depth into a single, unified being. It is the rebis in its most vulnerable yet indestructible human form and the ultimate emblem of the completed Magnum Opus. It is not merely a poetic fusion of opposites; it represents the birth of a radically unconditioned, non-dual consciousness that has survived the total dissolution of the ego within the Absolute void.

The geometry of the scene performs a literal squaring of the circle. The circular hollow containing the infant represents the infinite, boundless spirit, while the rigid, rectangular bed represents the heavy, physical plane of terrestrial matter. By forcing the infant into the intersection of these two geometries, the system achieves coagulatio—the absolute materialisation of spirit.

This intense binding of the sharp diagonal straps creates a permanent fixatio, anchoring the newborn child as a deeply rooted embodiment of the Absolute within the body’s consciousness.

The human soul makes its final, definitive descent from the celestial clouds, plunging headfirst to permanently re-enter the mouth of the purified, winged hermaphrodite resting within the stone tomb. This represents the quickening, where the abstract spiritual essence must be brought down into the finite, human scale of physical embodiment to prevent it from evaporating back into the ether. The perfectly formed infant harnessed within a central circular hollow of the minimalist white rectangular bed is the equivalent of the heavy stone sepulchre, while the newborn child represents the birth of the Sun-Moon Child—the pristine, quickened essence of the Essential-Self.
